Our
Training
Philosophy

Dogs are our best friends. They give us loyalty, honesty, and companionship without condition. Our responsibility is to give them the best life possible in return—and all of our training exists for that purpose.

At Demetae Dog Training, we specialise in behavioural problems such as aggression and reactivity. These are not lifelong conditions that must be managed forever. They are fixable issues when properly understood and correctly addressed. We focus on resolving the root cause of behaviour, not masking it with avoidance strategies or permanent restrictions.

Our training is built around freedom. A dog that is fulfilled—mentally, physically, and emotionally—learns faster, behaves better, and lives happier. We place strong emphasis on deep, breed-fulfilling play, using what the dog was designed to do to bring out the very best in them.

Every dog is an individual. There are no gimmicks, formulas, or cookie-cutter “techniques” here. Instead, we work to see the world from the dog’s perspective, then communicate expectations as clearly and fairly as possible. When dogs understand what is being asked of them, they succeed.

We work with committed owners who want real change. Once you are booked in, we are 100% committed to achieving the best possible outcome for you and your dog—no matter how serious the issue. We do not give up on dogs, and we do not offer half-measures.

Who will be training my dog?

My name is Miles.

I’m a passionate dog lover who believes dogs should be allowed to be fully dogs — not just quiet, calm cuddle partners. I love energy, drive, enthusiasm, and purpose, and I enjoy helping owners understand and channel those traits rather than suppress them.

Outside of client work, dog sport is a huge part of my life and my main hobby. Working and training high-drive dogs has given me a deep appreciation for what dogs are capable of when they’re given clear guidance, outlets, and structure. That experience shapes everything I do professionally.

I’m confident, honest, and realistic in my approach. I enjoy working with dogs that others find challenging and helping owners build capable, balanced dogs they can actually live with and enjoy.

If you’re looking for training that respects dogs for what they are — and helps you get the best out of yours — you’re in the right place.
